After around 8,000 stall-free miles in 2.5 months, I managed to stall mine twice yesterday evening through tight roadworks on the A19 around Sunderland...numpty, I know!!
The thing that alarmed me, though, was that when I came to re-start it, the whole car just went dead for around 30 seconds, so initially, I was stuck holding up traffic in a single lane area, cordoned off by traffic cones on either side of me, with, I'd think, a fair few disgruntled drivers behind me. The second time, maybe 10 minutes later, I was on a roundabout and managed to coast to the side before waiting and re-starting with no hold-up behind me, thankfully.
Also the other night, I was joinging the M6 from the M5 around Birmingham and hit a pothole in some roadworks...the impact from which burst my tyre quite spectacularly!! The AA came, but with it being around 12.30am then, they tried to get an out of hours tyre service to sort the problem but neither of the ones they tried had the right tyre in stock. The lad then tried to tow me home...but the car was too wide to load onto the back of their transit call-out van, so I had to wait for a low-loader to pick me up. I finally got in (near Buxton) at 4.45am after having left Cardiff at 9.30!! Happy days!!
Anyway...point being...has anyone had similar problems? Namely the complete cutting out of the engine or electrics (not sure?) after stalling theirs, or any fair sized pothole impact bursting their chuffing tyre?
Ta in advance...from someone who is beginning to think his whole RCZ experience is jinxed!!!
